Zell Dincht

A SeeD cadet with unsurpassed martial arts skills.
An incredible martial artist. Aspiring to become like his grandfather who was once a soldier, Zell entered Garden at the age of 13. Not being one that thinks matters through, he is known to act on impulse rather than reasoning. At heart however, he is an honest young man who takes things seriously.

As her former student, Zell Dincht has immense respect for Quistis, not at all unlike her other students. He eagerly and complies with everything she says and suggests; after all, he was raised by his Ma to respect his elders and superiors. Once Quistis loses her Instructor status and joins him as another SeeD among his ranks, Zell takes a little while to get used to the idea but readily accepts her.

One of Quistis' more dominant roles concerning Zell is a mediator between Seifer and Zell, during and after the orphanage days - Seifer recognizes and uses Zell's short-temper in order to make him crack. Quistis, on the other hand, is already exasperated with Seifer's antics but is ready to come in between and act like an older sister to Zell and protect him.

It seems that Quistis has always liked Zell and vice versa; there has been no bad fights or trivial quarrels between them - Zell respects Quistis as an Instructor and person too much to allow that to happen.
