Garden and SeeD

SeeDs are mercenaries for hire - they are trained since adolescents (as young as 5-6) and eventually normally graduate around 17-18. In the game, there are three Gardens at which you could learn the SeeD curriculum: Balamb Garden, Galbadia Garden, and Trabia Garden. Our heroes all come from Balamb, with the exception of Irvine (Galbadia) and Selphie (Trabia). SeeDs are trained to protect the world from Sorceresses, although they also do other jobs for the right price.

Quistis, having become SeeD at the young age of 15, is already a respected SeeD instructor. At the beginning of the game, she's held her Instructor's License for about only a year.

Once Squall attains his initial rank after graduating, he will be able to advance further by fighting during battles well enough and getting promoted or taking SeeD exams, accessible through your menu. Answers to the SeeD tests for their corresponding levels are as follows:
